In January, Newpark Drilling Fluids had the opportunity to present at the SPE/IADC Middle East Drilling Technology Conference and Exhibition in Abu Dhabi. The presentation focused on a paper written with a customer highlighting improved wellbore stability and reduced torque as a result of using the Evolution® system. Newpark will continue to present and exhibit at several leading industry events in the coming months. In March, a presentation will be made at the IADC/SPE Drilling Conference and Exhibition in Fort Worth, Texas. The paper being presented was written with a customer and discusses using clean brines to improve drilling performance in the Williston Basin. In April, NDF will be exhibiting and presenting the following three papers at AADE’s National Fluids Technical Conference in Houston:
- “High Performance Water-Based Drilling Fluid Improves Performance in the Powder River Basin” R. Calhoun, Anschutz, D. Nash, C.S. Jones, J. Shipman, Newpark Drilling Fluids
- “Survey of Polyamines as Prospective Shale Stabilizers”, E. Hudson, A. Thuriere, Newpark Drilling Fluids
- “The Six Sigma approach to Improving Tribology measurements, use of Laboratory Equipment at the Rig Site” M. Redburn, H. Dearing, Newpark Drilling Fluids
The spring schedule will conclude with Newpark’s exhibit at the Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) in May.
