CyberMul™ emulsifier is an environmentally acceptable liquid blend of organic acids which provides a stable water-in-oil emulsion. It is designed for use in the CyberDrill® synthetic based drilling fluid system as the primary emulsifier when mixing the system and as a treating agent during drilling operations.
- Provides a stable emulsion in a cost-effective manner
- Allows adjustable concentrations to balance emulsion stability with increased ROP
- Imparts oil-wetting characteristics
- Performs effectively in the presence of contaminants
CyberMul emulsifier is effective with NaCl, CaCl2 or NewPhase™ internal phases. It should be used in an alkaline environment. An excess of Ca(OH)2 (lime) must always be present in the fluid.
CyberMul concentrations should be engineered to the specific fluid design, but the typical range is 4-6 lb/bbl (0.55-0.83 gal/bbl). The emulsifier can be added through the hopper or directly into the pits, providing agitation is sufficient.
Typical Physical Properties
