Reservoir stimulation fluids are fluid systems that are engineered to enhance the production from newly completed wells or to re-stimulate production from older wells that may be exhibiting unnatural loss of production due to reservoir damage or other mechanism.

The Newpark stimulation fluids product line contains engineered fluids designed to maximize Estimated Ultimate Recovery (EUR) at the lowest cost without damage to permeability or proppant pack conductivity. All of Newpark’s stimulation fluids and additives are designed using our knowledge of rock mechanics and integrated geomechanics to ensure that we can effectively stimulate the reservoir rock while addressing possible damage mechanisms caused by rock-fluid and treatment fluid – connate fluid interactions.

The Newpark stimulation fluids product line is also comprised of products used for specialized applications related to ensuring efficient reservoir production such as Coiled Tubing products, Chemical Sand Control Products along with Self-Degradable Chemical Diverters.   All of these products can be used as stand-alone agents or in combination with fluid designs used for Matrix Acidizing or Hydraulic Fracturing.

For unconventional reservoirs, stimulation fluids are essential for initial production due to the low permeability of the matrix rock. In this case, stimulation involves creating a complex network of inter-connected cracks and propping those cracks open to facilitate complete, and efficient reservoir drainage.
