Evolution™ Drilling Fluids System Wins Hart’s Meritorious Engineering Award

E&P magazine proudly presents the winners of the prestigious 2011 Special Meritorious Awards for Engineering Innovation. An independent team of experts judged the competition and included engineers and engineering managers from operating and consulting companies worldwide. They judged entries only in their areas of specialization. Judges had no business interest in the companies or categories they judged.

The winners spanned a broad range of disciplines and addressed a number of problems that posed roadblocks to efficient operations. The resulting technological advances opened new and better avenues to the challenging process of finding and producing hydrocarbons worldwide.

Congratulations! Our distinguished panel of independent judges has chosen Newpark’s Evolution Drilling Fluids system as one of the winners of the 2011 E&P Special Meritorious Awards for Engineering Innovation. Now in its 40th year, this prestigious competition assesses each entry for:

  • Innovation in concept.
  • Suitability as a practical solution to a real oilfield problem.
  • Potential for improving efficiency or safety.
  • Potential for improving profitability.

We will present the awards at the Offshore Technology Conference in Houston May 2, 2011. E&P will provide one plaque and two medallions for each winning entry. In addition to the OTC award ceremony, your winning technology will be featured in the May issue of E&P.

Technology has clearly been in the forefront as the industry has challenged the frontiers of exploration, drilling and production. We applaud your commitment to technological progress in the upstream industry, and we congratulate you on your receipt of this award.
