High-Performance, Water-Based System to Venture Abroad
August 6, 2012. The Evolution® Drilling Fluid System, launched on August 19, 2010, reached a milestone earlier this year as its usage reached the 1,000 mark in North American unconventional shale horizontal applications.
This high-performing, water-based system, designed as a clean and rugged alternative to diesel-based fluids, has in recent months found wide operator acceptance in the Bakken and continues to gain traction in the Eagle Ford, Marcellus and Tuscaloosa Marine Shale Plays.
By the end of 2012, Newpark management expects to see Evolution used for the first time outside North America.
