Newpark Environmental Services (NES) offers environmentally friendly solutions for managing oilfield wastes and non-hazardous industrial waste.
For more than 20 years, NES has provided a full range of environmental solutions for managing oilfield wastes, including reclamation for reuse, disposal through deep well injection, recycling of waste fluids, and waste land farming options. NES's oilfield waste management services extend beyond RCRA-exempt wastes and include disposal solutions for oilfield waste containing naturally occurring radioactive materials (NORM). NES has extended its patented oilfield waste treatment and disposal technologies to include the management of non-hazardous industrial wastes.
Products & Services
Exploration and Production Waste
E&P waste is collected at transfer facilities from drilling and production operations located offshore, onshore, and within inland waters. Waste is accumulated at transfer facilities and moved by barge through the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway to the NES processing and transfer facility located in Port Arthur, Texas, and, if not recycled, is trucked to injection disposal facilities.
Under permits from Texas state regulatory agencies, NES operates a 50-acre injection well facility in Big Hill and a facility at a 400-acre site near Fannett, Texas. The Fannett site is the primary facility for disposing of E&P waste.
Non-hazardous Industrial Waste
NES disposes of non-hazardous industrial waste principally from customers in the Gulf Coast area, including refiners, manufacturers, service companies and industrial municipalities that produce waste that is not regulated under RCRA as hazardous waste.
Naturally Occurring Radioactive Materials (NORM)
Our licensed Radiation Safety Officers (RSO) excel in the handling of NORM. NMIS manages cleaning, equipment decontamination and soil remediation required at NORM sites so locations can be restored to its ideal condition in a safe and environmentally conscientious way.
